Round Two-Championship Weekend

The Maine Moose won the Championship series, 2 games to none which will send them off to USA Hockey Tier II National Championships in the spring.

Round One

Sunday morning saw the 2nd place regular season Moose 18U team take care Casco Bay in the 2nd game of the best of 3 game series to advance to the Championship round next weekend.

The regular season 1st place team, Gladiators took the last game in the 3 game series to defeat the Maine Junior Black Bears to move on.

The Gladiators will take on the Moose next weekend in a best of 3 game series.

Only the top 4 teams move into play based on Regular Season play.  There will be a Best of 3 Games Series played over 2 days between the teams ending in 1st place against the 4th place team as well as the 2nd placed team against the 3rd placed team. There are 3 games scheduled but depending on the game 1 & 2 outcomes, the 3rd game will not be played if one of the teams has won both game 1 & 2.  

The 2 wins from the first series play, will continue to the Championship series and will have the same format of Best of 3 Games. to determine State Champion for this season.

Teams have 1 time out in regular play. Games are 2 periods of 22-1/2 minutes with an ice make at the beginning and between 1 & 2 periods. If the game is tied after regulation play, a 22-1/2 OT period will play after an ice make.  Teams will receive another time out to be used in OT periods. If still tied after the OT period, ice make will be done and another OT will start.
