MEAHA LEAGUE INFO FOR 2025-26
MEAHA Associations,
During the February 11, 2025 Maine Amateur Hockey Association (MEAHA) monthly meeting it was reported that a review of MEAHA Affiliate and Associate members was conducted for compliance with the MEAHA League policies regarding the hosting of both 8U and Learn-to-Skate or Learn-to-Play programs. The MEAHA league policy, from the MEAHA Annual Guide, reads as follows on the subject:
Effective 2020-2021 season, MEAHA Associate or Allied members seeking to participate in MEAHA’s Tier II or Tier III leagues at Youth 10U, 12U and 14U levels, must meet the following:
a. MEAHA Associate or Allied members participating in the MEAHA Travel Leagues must have an active “Learn-to-Skate/Play” and “8 & Under” programs.
It was determined during the review that the following associations did not have active 8U and Learn-to-Skate/Play programs for the 2024/2025 season and are therefore ineligible to declare teams into the MEAHA Tier II and Tier III leagues for the 2025/2026 season:
- Maine Jr Mariners
- Maine Nordiques
- Maine Wild
